Give to Catholic Services Appeal

Archbishop Weisenburger was asked to select a Gospel reading for his installation Mass in the Archdiocese of Detroit and chose this powerful exchange between our Lord and St. Peter in the Gospel of St. John:

“Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”
[Jesus] said to him, “Feed my sheep…” And when he had said this, he said to him, “Follow me” (John 21:15-17,19).


This calling is echoed in the Catholic Services Appeal, inviting each of us to respond to Christ’s love by caring for those in need and supporting the ministries that bring the Gospel to life. We should be united in following Christ’s command to love, serve, and share the abundant gifts we have received with our brothers and sisters across southeast Michigan.
